The Ledger
A claims reasoning record is only defensible if it cannot be altered after the fact.
Ary's ledger is immutable by design.
What makes it defensible:
- —Verbatim — every element extracted directly from your document. No paraphrasing. No interpretation. No rewriting.
- —Timestamped — each record anchored to the moment of assessment. Not the moment of challenge.
- —Immutable — records cannot be modified. Ever.
- —Append-only — when a coverage position evolves, a new record is created. The previous record remains intact. The full history of reasoning across time is preserved.
- —Verifiable — every record references the exact document and the exact moment that produced it. Independently auditable by any third party.
The difference between a file note and a ledger entry:
A file note records what was decided.
A ledger entry records what was known, considered, and reasoned — at the moment it happened.
When a claim is challenged two years later, the question is never just “what did you decide.”
It is “what did you know, what did you consider, and why did you decide it — at that specific moment.”
The ledger answers that question without reconstruction.
